How To Be A Man: Learn About The Wilderness

Nature...the word itself doesn't necessarily instill in you the idea of manliness...now if you call it by a different name...Wilderness....that makes it completely different.

The Wilderness, the unknown. It is certainly more manly now huh? Camping out in the forest. Surviving in the desert. Making shelter and warmth in the snow...all very manly, all take place in nature.

Learn about terrain. Learn about different kinds of trees, and plants. What plants could you eat to survive if you were stranded in the forest. If you were left for dead, what animals do you know live in the surrounding? Could you easily track these creatures and kill them for food? What would be best for shelter during the night?

If you don't know about the wilderness. These few questions that I've asked, if you don't know the answers, you could die. But if you take time to study, learn some good skills. You just might make it out alive.

Learn to do this by reading. Read books about plant life, and animals, worst case scenarios, how to navigate by stars, tell directions. Things like this will make you more of a man than you will ever know.
