April 16th 2009

So I've been pretty busy lately and haven't really updated anything. Life is super messed up right now, with me having moved back to california, and loosing my job, things really haven't been going my way as of late. But I did however, get a Disneyland pass and also have picked up the guitar and started learning that, so that is good I guess. I really don't know what I want to do right now, and I'm in one of those "What does it all mean" points in my life (which I absolutley hate by the way)

Other than that, I've been hanging out with a lot of people and makin' the rounds, driving up and down to Orange County multiple times a week. But if anything has come out of this whole experiance thuss far, it would have to be The Best Date Ever

Best Date Ever:

Basically I created the best date that has ever happend. If you don't know what happend, let me tell you. This past year, as with every year before it, I gave away a free date with me for the Leadership Team Christmas Party. Jenny Colborn was the lucky girl who got it this year. Now no one has ever taken me up on it....That is, until now.

So on March 19th The Best Date Ever took place. I had Andrew chauffer, and I was dressed up in my nicest suite with my Purple Shirt and Tie (I looked darn good) and we picked up Jenny. She wore her Purple Prom Dress, and we went to El Adobe (My personal favorite resturant out here) and had a wonderful dinner of salad and Shrimp Fajitas. Side note, everyone kept staring at us because we were so dressed up, I'm guessing they thought either A we were weird, or B that I was going to propose.

After that, we went to my parents house where I proceeded to put on a Rock Band concert in Jenny's honor. I built a stage about a foot and a half high, and painted it, and had a fog machine, Light Show complete with Strobes, and all our closest friends as the audiance. The crowd was chanting "Sta-mos!" and I took the stage. There was a few mixups with the stand in musicians, but that is another story all together.

After we brought up Jenny to sing a Paramore song, Andrew DeZarn came up and sang a lovley rendition of Everlong to Jenny, and Pont came in as the special guest guitarist for Don't Fear The Reaper as I sang and played cowbell. After the cocert was over, Jenny and I took a little stroll or saunter across the Golf Course and when we came back, there was a Pirate Picnic Dessert all laid out on the green. Complete with candles, the picnic basket was a Treasure Chest, the picnic blanket was Pirate flags, and Beagle was the guest chef, who created a wonderful dessert with brown sugar as the sand, pop rocks and little cocolate coins, inside a chocolate treasure chest filled with chocolate mousse.

John Stamos & The Panda Bears then took the stage again for an encore of two songs, then we left our adoring fans and dropped Jenny off at her home to end the most magical night of either of our lives.

So what does this tell you? Well, just don't underestimate me, because I have already begun planning the next date...this time I'm not fooling around. Bigger & Better. Like I always say, "Go Big, Or Go Home!"

March 9th 2009

I've been back in California for a little over a month now, and I actually been up to a lot, that is why I haven't really updated in a month. Plus I haven't really been by my computer much, since I've basically been down to Orange County every weekend and sometimes on the weekdays. Which really isn't a bad thing, becuase I've been catching up with everyone, seeing how they are doing and whatnot. I've kinda re-united with a few friends from long ago, and I've made a few new (in a way) friends as well. So all is not so bad in the life of Miles right now, which is also a good thing, because ever since I found out that I was gonna move back, I wasn't really looking forward to it, but it really is good hanging out with people again.

Now, as for what I've been up to...I've been planning and ploting various plots and plans. I can't really go into much detail here & now, but soon one of the plans will be revealed for all, and it will be good. Oh so very good. Other than that, I've kinda just been hanging out up here in Lake Arrowhead mostly unpacking things, putting things where they belong and just being plain awesome.

I've done a lot of "thinking" or whatever you want to call it about this move and about life and about my ministry and all that other stuff. I've checked out a few new churches, but alas I haven't found one that is right just yet. But I have faith that God will show me the correct church to go to. For right now though, I'm going to be just trying to figure some things out on my Sabbatical and have "Some fun in the Sun" as one might say.

February 6th 2009: New Location, New Page

So as you can see, I've created a new page on the site. I figured since I moved locations, that I'd change things up a little.

Well, here I am in Lake Arrowhead, and I must say, it is definitely better than what I thought it would be. Actually I'm totally blown away by how amazingly awesome it is up here. The town is very small, much smaller than what I'm used to. I mean, I did spend an entire year in one of the biggest cities in the states.

I got here late Sunday morning on the 2nd, and ever since I've been unpacking. I spent all day Super Bowl Sunday moving everything out of the moving truck and into the garage. Since then I've gotten sick for the first time in over two years, I bounced back pretty quickly though. I basically live on the third floor, out of four all together. This house is really sweet. It's even got its own access road and a cool oak tree with a tire swing.

I finally got all my systems and computers back up and running. I've even started working on something completely awesome, something called "The Batcave". Its something that you'll just have to see for yourself. The space out here is incredible, there is enough room to have a few TVs and couches in the same room to have a nice little LAN party (Just like the old days)

I've spent the last year in a completely new setting, and have learned a lot from that. Now I know God has brought me back here for a specific reason, and I don't know what that is just yet, but I've got faith that He knows what He is doing, and I'm just gonna sit back and do the best that I can to figure out what He wants me out here for.

That being said. Let me know if you ever want to come up and hang out, because there is plenty of space and also its not to far away, so visitors are always welcome.
